There is nothing more space consuming then those pesky PSP browse files which are created everytime you use your PSP browser. So, here I am going to show you first how to get rid of them and secondly, how to get rid of them permanently. Now if you have never done this before you may be in for a big surprise on just how many you have on your computer. I changed my preferences to show you what they look like and later I will set it back up so I will never have to deal with these PSP browse files again. This will also regain lots of space for you. Finally I will show you how to get rid of aol picture gallery files.

1.  Go to Start at bottom of your screen and click on Find, Files and Folders

2.  In the Named: type PSPBRWSE (exactly as I have it here) and look in: set it for your c drive, then click on Find Now to see if you have any. (You may find you have hundreds)

3.  Now you may see this in the preview window of Find. (I have two)

4.  This is the easy part, just highlight all the pspbrwse files..hightlight first one..and hold down shift key and highlight last one..and it will grab all the ones inbetween them, then just hit your delete key on your keyboard. You will be asked if you wish to send these to your recycle bin, say yes and they are gone.

5.  You may want to run Find...files and folders and put in PSPBRWSE again and make sure you got them all.

6.  Now lets get rid of them showing up ever again. Go to PSP...File...general program preferences... and click on the tab that says browser to bring it forward. See how there is a check in the little box that says "Save Browser files to disc"

7.  Uncheck this box so it looks like this.

8.  Thats it..never again will you be pestered by those files.

9.  Finally, remember I talked about AOL picture gallery files? Lets get rid of them now. These are created everytime you use your aol picture gallery. These are either called TMB.IND or TMB.LST All you do is repeat steps 1 to 4 and in Find..files and folders..where is says Named, just type in TMB.INI and if any show up..delete them, then do the same for TMB.LST If you use your AOL picture gallery often, you may want to do this every week or so to keep it cleaned up.

10.  Congratulations, you have just cleaned up tons of space. All you need to do is empty your recycle bin and you are done. You have just cleaned up tons of space on your computer!
Finally, I will go into how to make your tubes compatible to all versions of PSP and how to set the settings so they are compressed and do not take up too much space. Check my tutorial on making tubes compatible for all versions of PSP.
