A mask, this is the one I used, and resized to show.

Click here for the mask used in this tutorial: Mask

A graphic. (optional)

Lets get started :-)

1.  Open a new image..400 by 400 transparent, flood fill with white.

2.  Go to Masks, Load Mask Channel, browse to where you keep your Masks and apply your mask to the white image. Now you will see this.

3.  Go to Masks..invert so now your mask looks like this.

4.  Then go Masks, Delete and when window comes up saying would you like mask merged into current layer, say yes.

5.  Now take your selection tool, tolerance and feather set to 0, antialias checked and shape ellipse, start from 200, 200 and draw out an elipse to fit inside the white mask.

6.  Now hit your scissors icon or your delete key on your keyboard to cut out the center of the mask.

7.  Go Selections, invert and your ants will be on inside of frame and outer edge of your image.

8.  Then with magic wand, click anywhere on your white frame so ants hug your frame.

9.  Go to Effects, PLugins, Flaming Pear, Super Blade Pro (or blade pro) and apply any preset you like to the white frame.

10.  Click okay and now you will see your preset applied to your white frame. Selections, select none to deselect ants.

11.  Click in the transparent area inside the frame to select this area (get ants). Then go to Layers, New Raster Layer, and click okay when toggle box opens.

12.  Go to Selections, Modify, Expand by 2 (if not in enough go edit undo and then repeat modify, expand, this time by 4, until you see your ants sitting on your frame) and okay

13.  On layer palette, drag Layer 2 under layer 1 (or go layers, arrange, send to bottom)

14.  You are done! now you have original frame. Save in PSP format. Name it and save in folder you keep your frames in.

15.  Want to use this frame? Make a copy of this frame..go Shift D on your keyboard. Open a graphic you wish to put inside the frame, go edit copy..and close the graphic. Go to your new frame copy, Make sure you are on layer 2, the ant layer, and go edit..paste into selection. Keep ants marching

16.  Go to selections, float, and then to Effects, 3D Effects, Cutout and apply following cutout with these settings..Vertical and horizontal=6, opacity=100, blur=10, shadow colour=black, fill interior with colour, UNCHECKED and okay.

17.  Repeat the cutout this time change the Vertical and Horizontal settings to minus 6. Then go Selections, select none to deselect ants. (Add a background now if you do not wish your tag on a white background.) Go to Layers, Merge All, flatten and okay. Resize if needed. If resizing, remember to go Effects, Sharpen, sharpen. Save in jpeg format and now you have a great new tag.

Here are my finished result.
I hope you enjoyed and had fun making a frame from a mask and super blade pro.
