Required for this tutorial:

Download trial version of Jasc's PSP 7
A tube of your choice, one that has some colour to it. This is what I am using.

Lets get started :-)

1.  Open your tube and duplicate it twice and close original. Mimimize one of the copies for now.

2.  With the copy you have active, Go to Effects..Blur, Motion Blur settings are: angle 130 intensity 20 and okay.

So will look like this.

3.  Then go Effects, Texture Effects, Mosaic Antique, settings are: columns and rows = 25, symmetric, tile opacity=70, grout width=2 and grout opacity=50 and ok

So will look like this.

4.  Then go Effects, Geometric Effects, Twirl, settings are: degrees=180 and okay.

So will look like this.

5.  Resize all layers checked to make your image so is around 300 pixels in either height or width.

6.  Go Image, canvas size and make it twice the size of image now, both center image vertically and horizontally checked. For example if your image is 300 by 300, make your canvas size 600 by 600.

7.  Go to your layer palette and duplicate this layer, then go Image, mirror. Move both layers until they match up and then on layer palette, go layers, merge visable.

8.  If you like this you can leave it this way or you can duplicate this layer and then go image, flip and match these two layers up as well, then merge visable again to end up with one layer. (alternatively, you can just go image..rotate by 90 and have image angle differently)

9.  Apply a drop shadow, settings are: V&H=4, Opacity=100, blur=10, colour=a dark colour from your image.

10.  Repeat drop shadow, using same settings as before, just change V&H=minus 4

11.  Bring up your minimized tube and go Edit, Copy then minimize it again.

12.  Then go Image, Paste as new Layer onto your blurred shape image. Use your mover tool and move the tube to sit where you would like it on your tag.

13.  Add a drop shadow to your tube layer, settings are: V&H=5, opacity=100, blur=10, colour to be a light colour from image, and ok.

14.  Merge layers flatten and crop all excess white background off image.

15.  Add a new raster layer and add your name to tag, or add your watermark.

16.  Resize image to be 350 by 350 at biggest and then go Effects, Sharpen, Sharpen. Save in jpeg format and you are done.

Here is my completed tag.

I hope you enjoyed and and fun making this blur twirl tag.
