1.  First open the email. I want this background but I wasnt sent the background so lets grab it.



2.  Now right click and select all, then right click again on email and this time click on copy.
now go up to AOL...FILE...NEW...and this will open...



3. Now put your mouse in message area and right click and click on paste and you will see this...



4. Now use your backspace key or highlight delete...any text from this image..so now looks like this....



5. Open PSP and have it ready to go.

6. With this image open on your AOL screen, now I perfer to maximize this to get more of the background showing, click on your print screen on your keyboard. (you will not see anything happen)

7. Go to PSP and click on EDIT...PASTE AS NEW IMAGE, now you will see this...



8. Almost done! Now grab your crop tool and crop image so you get something like this...



9. See how the repeats in the pattern are 5 stars to bright background? That is what I went after as it will give you the pattern. Now all you do is resize (if you want to, remember in PSP if you resize to go to effects, sharpen, sharpen) and save it. You are done :-)

There may be other ways to do this but I found this works the best for me.
